Conjuring images of rolling landscapes of beautiful, sun-kissed vineyards, and summer evenings spent sampling their offerings, Piemonte and Tuscany are the two most famous wine regions of Italy.
In 8 wines, you will try most of the different styles of wines from these two regions, from the well-known such as Barbera, Barolo, Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino to the more niche like Arneis, Alta Langa, Bolgheri and Vin Santo.
Travel to Italy’s most famous wine producing regions without leaving Bloomsbury! Under the guidance of Matthieu Longuère MS, you will sample a sparkling, a white and two red wines from Piemonte, and from Tuscany, a rosé, two reds and a sweet wine.
Lead by Master Sommelier Matthieu Longuere, this 2 hour evening class will guide you through sensory evaluation skills as you compare the styles of wines originating from Barolo and those from Brunello di Montalcino, as well as learning how to identify major factors that affect the flavour profile of Piedmont and Tuscan wines.
