An applicant must be 18 years old or above; there is no upper age limit.
Secondary education as base entry qualification.
The minimum academic requirement for Le Cordon Bleu London Certificates, Grand Diplôme, Diplôme de Cuisine, Diplôme de Pâtisserie, Diplôme de Boulangerie, Diploma in Gastronomy, Nutrition & Food Trends and Diploma in Wine, Gastronomy and Management students is GCSE, High School Diploma or equivalent, and no prior culinary experience is required.
Diploma in Culinary Management students must have first completed a Le Cordon Bleu diploma or Grand Diplôme or equivalent culinary qualification. If an applicant is not a Le Cordon Bleu graduate, a Recognition of Prior Learning form with relevant certification and an interview with a lecturer will be required. A Recognition of Prior Learning form may be requested by sending an email to london-admissions@cordonbleu.edu.
Which type of student visa do I need?
If you require a visa, please provide an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) for UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration) test report result with 5.0 or above in all components or a PTE Pearson Academic UKVI test report result with 43 or above in all components.
We cannot accept non-UKVI IELTS and PTE tests for Student Route Visa applications so please ensure you book the correct test to avoid delaying your application.
Non-Student Route Visa , who do not require a student visa, should provide the school with one of the following:
Nationals of English-majority speaking countries are exempt from providing evidence of English-language proficiency.
Students who need to apply for a visa will require sufficient time to obtain the visa successfully. It can take more than six weeks after your visa application in some countries, therefore students are advised to complete their enrolment as early as possible and no later than 12 weeks prior to the start of the course.
