Wine and Gastronomy Training with Work Experience

This comprehensive programme has been designed for students who want to gain in-depth knowledge of wine and gastronomy as well as put into practice the knowledge acquired over the past 6 months thanks to a 3-month internship.

1 intake each year: Autumn

Due to the COVID-19 situation the institute cannot guarantee the provision of an internship course due to the social distancing conditions imposed by governments on the Internship Partners. Our Internship Team will discuss the options with you as the COVID-19 situation becomes clearer.

Duration: 6 months | 480 hours
Price: £15,220
Diploma fees include: uniforms, learning materials, subscription to Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages, personal licence course
Hours per week: approximately 22 hours at school and no more than 48 hours per week during the internship
Entry requirements: high school diploma or equivalent, evidence of English language. All students must be aged 18 years or over

  • Course Structure

    The first 6 months of the programme are comprised of the Diploma in Wine, Gastronomy and Management - a hands-on, highly practical programme that aims at giving students the knowledge and skills to success in the world of wine. After the successful completion of the 6-month diploma, students join one of our respected partners to perform a 3-month internship.

    The Diploma in Wine, Gastronomy and Management with Internship Pathway has been designed to provide students an experience of working in the wine industry as part of their wine and gastronomy training.

  • What qualification will I gain?

    Graduates of our Diploma in Wine, Gastronomy and Management with Internship Pathway will acquire a thorough understanding of the world of wines, spirits & beverages and the proficiency to become an accomplished wine and food professional. Thanks to the Internship Pathway, students will gain additional skills and experience as well as be able to apply the knowledge gained during the course.
    This diploma course has been
    accredited under an “Investing in Quality” licence from national awarding organisation NCFE, and the course measurable learning outcomes have been benchmarked at Level 4 using Ofqual’s Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) level descriptors.
