Turkish Cuisine Demonstration with Ali Yalcin and Mustafa Yilmaz

On Thursday 25th May Le Cordon Bleu London will be hosting an exciting demonstration in partnership with the Turkish Embassy in London as part of the Turkish Cuisine Week.

Shaped by more than a thousand years of cultures and traditions, social heritage and stories, Turkish cuisine presents its distinctive and diverse flavours to the world during Turkish Cuisine Week, 21-27 May. In its second year, Turkish Cuisine Week introduces Türkiye's rich gastronomic culture to a broad audience at home and abroad through the representations of the Republic of Türkiye.

The event will feature a culinary demonstration from Ali Yalcin and Mustafa Yilmaz, who are both alumni of Le Cordon Bleu London and who will demonstrate some delicious traditional Turkish dishes, followed by a reception where guests will be able to sample the cuisine.

Originally from Turkey, Ali Yalcin and Mustafa Yilmaz are both Le Cordon Bleu London alumni having graduated from the Diplôme de Cuisine programme in 2017. They decided to stay in London and gained experience in different restaurants. They now  specialise in Turkish cuisine, focusing on traditional recipes and dishes that you may find at home rather than restaurants and aim to showcase and promote the Mediterranean side of the cuisine.

In the autumn of 2022, they partnered to launch paket.london, a weekly food delivery business focusing on serving a selection of dishes from the Western region of Turkey with a weekly changing menu. They also went on to found their private catering brand, tabak.london and in April 2023 they launched their latest initiative dukkan.london, an event and a kitchen space in Hoxton aiming to be an incubator for aspiring chefs in London.
