Our Le Cordon Bleu Summer Food & Wine Week is perfect for wine lovers and food enthusiasts who want to enhance their food and wine experience.
This course will immerse you in the world of food and wine, where you will learn to taste wine like a pro, how to avoid common mistakes when pairing, what you need to look for when choosing wines and more.
Once you know all the basics, under the guidance of Matthieu Longuère MS and one of Le Cordon Bleu’s expert teaching chefs, you will pair wines with a variety of different foods, discovering some matches that might surprise you! At the end of this course, you will feel confident to choose a wine to go with your food, or vice versa.
Taking place over 5 consecutive days, Monday to Friday, classes run 11:30am - 5:30pm each day. Each day includes two 2.5-hours lectures and one 1-hour break.

At the seaside; Wine with seafood • Cornish crab, white peach cream, pickled fennel and radishes • Grilled salmon fillet, tarragon butter, Green asparagus • Tuna Basquaise
At the wine bar; Wine with cheese and charcuterie • Goat cheese, cow’s bloomy rind cheese, hard cheese, blue cheese • Cured meat, dried sausage, spicy dried sausage
Going green; Wine with plant-based food • Miso aubergine, coconut yoghurt, pomegranate, mint • Caramelized chicory, maple syrup, orange and cardamom • Grilled sweet potatoes, avocado, lime, coriander
Pure decadence; Wine with chocolate • White chocolate - Opalys 33% • Milk chocolate – Jivara 40% • Dark chocolate – Araguani- 72% • Dark chocolate – Tainori 64% • Dark chocolate - Manjari 64% • Dark chocolate - Equatorial noir 56%
You will taste six wines per lecture, around 60 wines during the whole course, which will include sparkling, white, rosé, red, dessert and fortified wines.
