Pâtisserie Technique Essentials


With four evening cookery and baking classes, Pâtisserie Technique Essentials teaches the fundamental techniques and methodology surrounding classic handmade pastry products.

Each session focuses on specific types of pastry which are then expanded upon to increase your knowledge further. Techniques are first demonstrated by our Chef before you apply them to a number of carefully selected recipes to develop your practical abilities.

This course has been designed to improve your confidence in the home kitchen and provide you with an essential repertoire of skills that can be applied to a variety of pastry recipes.

In our four evening Pâtisserie Techniques Essentials cooking course, you will learn:

  • Short crust dough
  • Sweet pastries
  • Laminated dough and aerated pastries
  • Blind baking techniques
  • Cream fillings
  • Cooked sugar, syrup and glazes
  • Item presentation

Included in price:
4 x 2.5 hour group cooking classes, all ingredients, recipe booklet, apron, and tea towel. No prior knowledge is required for this course, which is suitable for both novices and cooks with some experience. All of the food created during the day is yours to take home with you.
