Oenology Classes at Le Cordon Bleu Paris institute presentation

The Wine and Spirits Initiation programme takes place in the new Le Cordon Bleu institute premises, near the Eiffel Tower.

The oenology classes take place in a room dedicated to wine which is fitted out for this purpose. Professionals looking to improve their palate or amateurs who are curious about wine and the industry are very welcome. With its cellar-style ambiance, the oenology room provides the ideal working space for each participant.

The whole Wine and Spirits Initiation programme comprises 42 hours of oenology classes split into 3 modules.

Participants can opt to take all the oenology classes or to take part in one of the modules available. Each module is made up of 7 classes which include theory and tastings and take place between 7pm and 9pm during the week.

The first module focuses on the viticultural world with, notably, an introduction to viticulture, vinification and the secrets involved in the classification of appellations. You will also learn all there is to know about wine service, the best food and wine pairings, not forgetting sensorial analysis of wine.

The second module revolves around tasting different top French wines and exploring the wealth and diversity of French viticultural regions including Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne etc.

The third module mainly focuses on studying terroir, the theme of soil and wine, but also new technology.
