The earlier you apply for a course the greater is the possibility of enrolling on the course of your choice and preferred commencement term. A confirmed place will only be given when final payment is cleared – we strongly suggest that you pay your outstanding balance at least 30days before the course begins to secure a place for the programme of your desire.
Should a course be full, applicants will be placed on a Wait List and will be contacted should a place be available.Seats for the course is strictly on a first come first served basis. If a place on a chosen course does not become available, Waiting List applicants will be offered that course at the next term.
No, all the courses are taught in English.
However, there are some French culinary terms and specialised vocabulary used for certain cooking techniques and methods which you might need to know and they will be taught in the class.
We would recommend students who are really interested in learning the French terms to buy a French Culinary Dictionary for future reference purposes.
We require the application to have intermediate level of English language skills in listening, speaking and writing to be able to learn effectively and communicate with your Chef Instructors and classmates.
English language proficiency test is required if the student did not obtain a Credit in English. In such cases an interview will be conducted to gauge the student proficiency in English and should the need arises we will advice the student to undergo the English Proficiency Test.
After submitting the application form together with payment of application fees, you should receive a ‘Letter of Offer’ through email which includes program payment details within 14 working days.

International students area allowed under immigration rules to work for 20 hours a week in approved industry whilst taking their course, to help fund their course. We would recommend an approved list of F&B establishments who takes in part time student workers in order to gain valuable industry experience.
Students taking the both Diplôme Programmes will find it hard to work as they will be heavily committed to lessons in their weekly class schedule. Students should be careful not to let their work commitment distract from their studies in the School.

Students need to attend all their demonstration and practical sessions to ensure they derive maximum learning exposure. If a student has more than 6 absences, that student will be required to re-enrol in that course in a subsequent semester in order to obtain their award.
Students missing a demonstration class will not be allowed in the corresponding practical class and will be marked with 2 absences.
Students who enter the class within the first 15 minutes of the scheduled class time will be marked "late". 6 lateness recorded will be equivalent to 1 absence. Student who are more than 15 minutes late for a scheduled class time will not be allowed into that class. In the event a student is frequently late, the Chef Instructor may refuse entry to future classes.
Students are marked for each practical session they attend on criteria such as technique, hygiene, taste, seasoning and presentation (these are sessional evaluation conducted in each practical class).
There is a final examination at the end of term for which it is compulsory to gain a pass. The sessional evaluation is 50% of the total mark, Final Practical Examination is 40% of the total mark whereas Written/Theory Examination is 10%.
The pass mark is 50% for students.

Yes, you can pay your course in three installments; new students must pay a one time initial fee for uniforms and their tool kit before the deadline set by the school, and any overdue balance must be settled at least 30 days before the term starts.
should a student is unable to pay the full fess 30 days in advance, the Institute defines the "Orientation Day" as the last day for making full payment and should there be no payment made by Orientation Day, students will NOT be allowed to commence their studies.
If students opt for the "A La Carte" application (each level of the certificate course taken individually), then the course fee is due 30days before the start of each level.
Fresh application fees are required to be paid should the student decide to take the next level of the Certificate programme wither in cuisine of Pastisserie. All payments may be made by cash, local bank cheques, bank draft or postal order, credit card or bank transfer (Ringgit Malaysia only).All students is covered with insurance during the days as student with the school.
Le Cordon Bleu Malaysia strongly suggests international student who is holder of a Dependent Visa / Diplomatic Pass / Employment Pass / MM2H Pass / Red MyKad who does not wish the Institute to include you in their Indurance plan are to seek appropriate advice from a qualified financial advisor as to the appropriate insurance cover to safeguard against any possible loss of deposit/fees through being unable to attend the course.
No discounts nor rebate are available for fees chargeable for any programmes. However should a student decide to apply for both Diploma Programmes from the beginning by paying the relevant deposits to secure the seats, the student will only need to pay one application fee instead of 2 for the respective programmes.
A fresh application fee is required for student who wish apply for their next Diploma program upon completion of one. there will be no exemptions
Each application fee is required for student who opt to apply "A la Carte" course.
International student is required to obtained a student visa from Malaysia Immigration in order to study in Malaysia.

All students are welcome to apply for work experience placements but priority given to students who have graduated with Diplôme de Cuisine and/or Diplôme de Pâtisserie. Students considered for industry placement back at the school will be selected base on their correct attitude during their course work.
