In 2020, Le Cordon Bleu Madrid launches an Academic Grants to support candidates who wish to study haute cuisine. There are three types of help, aligned to a number of personal circumstances:

1- Family financial situation:
Family Financial aid granted by Le Cordon Bleu UFV S.L. is available to candidates wishing to start a diploma at school. They have to be Spanish tax payers and have a household financial situation that requires help. There are two types of aid for these cases:

Family Financial Situation Grants

Family Financial Grant I:

The student will be granted an aid of €6,000 when enrolling in a Diploma of their choice. These being: French Cuisine, Pastry or Spanish Cuisine. This amount applies to the cost of a full Diploma. A Diploma is composed by a Basic, an Intermediate and a Superior level, so the grant will be proportionally divided into three, allocating €2,000 to each certificate.

In order to enjoy this grant, a candidate must have previously completed the School’s admission process and, once their admission has been confirmed, they must submit an application for this grant within the established deadlines. Family Financial Grant I will be available on all four terms: January, April, July and October. Only scholarship applications with complete documentation and submitted within established deadlines will be processed.

Family Financial Grant II:

The student will be granted an aid of €4,000 when enrolling in any of our Diplomas with a Basic certificate’s validation. We have three Diplomas to choose from: French Cuisine, Pastry or Spanish Cuisine. This amount applies to the cost of a full Diploma. A Diploma is composed by a Basic, an Intermediate and a Superior level, so the grant will be proportionally divided in two, allocating €2,000 to each Intermediate and Superior certificates.

In order to enjoy this grant, a candidate must have previously completed the School’s admission process and applied for a Basic certificate validation. Family Financial Grant II will be available on three or our four terms: April, July and October. Only scholarship applications with complete documentation and submitted within established deadlines will be processed.

Candidates skills and personal drive grant:

International Financial Grant I

This aid is aimed at international students, based on a candidate's personal drive and culinary skills. The student will be granted €6,000 when enrolling in a Diploma of their choice. These being: French Cuisine, Pastry or Spanish Cuisine. This amount applies to the cost of a full Diploma. A Diploma is composed by a Basic, an Intermediate and a Superior level, so the grant will be proportionally divided into three, allocating 2,000€ to each certificate.

To obtain this aid, the candidate must have successfully passed the admission process. He or she must send a presentation video explaining the reasons why they should be the granted the aid. The video must also show the candidate’s culinary skills. Only scholarship applications with complete documentation and submitted within the established deadlines will be processed.

International Financial Grant II

This financial aid grant is also available to international students in the amount of €4,000, applicable to the enrollment in a Diploma with an approved course equivalency of the Basic certificate for any of the disciplines taught at the institute: French Cuisine, Pastry, or the Spanish Cuisine Diploma. This amount will be applied to the total price of the full diploma program, meaning €2,000 will be allocated proportionally to each certificate (Intermediate and Superior).

A prospective candidate must complete the school's admission process and must have initiated the course equivalency process to be eligible for the International Financial Grant II. This grant is available exclusively for the July semester start date. You can consult the application deadlines in the Academic Grants Guidelines. Only scholarship and financial aid applications with the complete documentation submitted within the established deadlines will be reviewed and processed.

Mention of excellence:

Aimed at students who have completed Basic and Intermediate certificates and stand out from the rest for the quality of their work and their effort throughout the program. The School will select the brightest records from each promotion, granting and aid of €1,500 that can be enjoyed in their Superior certificate from any of our disciplines: French Cuisine, Pastry or Spanish Cuisine.
