This workshop offers a dynamic and sensory introduction to French white wines, highlighting the richness and diversity of the country’s leading vineyards. Over the course of one hour, participants take part in a guided tasting of three emblematic white wines, selected to illustrate distinct styles and identities.
Each wine is placed within its geographical and historical context, allowing participants to better understand the influence of terroir, climate and the winemaker’s approach. Through the tasting of a Burgundy white wine, a Rhône Valley Viognier and a Loire Valley white wine, participants explore varied aromatic profiles, differing textures and balances shaped by each region.
Throughout the session, participants learn to identify grape variety characteristics, refine their aromatic perception and better understand the structure of white wines. The experience concludes with a tasting of Burgundy gougères, designed to complement the wines and extend the convivial atmosphere.
