The 9-hour Introduction to Sparkling Wines of the World is designed for both food & beverage enthusiasts and culinary professionals looking to improve their beverage knowledge and acquire the keys to appreciate sparkling wines.
The course is structured in three consecutive evenings, each one focusing on several categories of fizzy wines. For each category, origin, history, climate, grape varieties and winemaking techniques will be discussed in some details. The tasting sessions will enable participants to sharpen their senses of smell & taste and develop a discourse on a wide variety of sparkling wines.

- Champagne, Cava and New World
(Distinguishing between fruit and autolytic character, balance between flavors, body and acidity)
- Champagne, Cava and New World, Crémant and other sparkling:
(Distinguishing nature of fruit, concentration, level of acidity and complexity)
- Cava, Asti, Prosecco, Lambrusco, Deutscher Sekt and Rosés
(Assessing visual appearance, nature of fruit, level of sweetness and petillance)
