Ontario Job Grant (OJG) provides opportunities for employers to invest in their workforce, with help from the government. Employers can get up to $10,000 - $15,000 in government support per person for training costs.
Key Highlights:

  • Employers with 100 or more employees: The government may cover 50% of eligible training costs, up to $10,000 per trainee. Employers must contribute the remaining 50%.

  • Employers with fewer than 100 employees: Employers must generally contribute at least one-sixth of eligible training costs. For eligible new hires who were previously unemployed, funding may cover up to $15,000 per trainee, with no minimum employer contribution required. This may allow for up to 100% funding.

  • Flexible training options: Employers can select eligible training to help existing employees upgrade their skills or prepare new hires for identified job opportunities.
