Le Cordon Bleu at SIRHA 2019 - Retrospective

February 2019 - From 26 to 30 January was the SIRHA (International Hotel Catering and Food Trade Exhibition), where we organised various events on Le Cordon Bleu stand. Here is the throwback at the events' highlights.

During the Coupe de France de la Boulangerie (French Boulangerie Cup), our boulangerie team of Le Cordon Bleu Chefs did a fantastic job and Le Cordon Bleu Chef Gauthier Denis artistic piece got the highest grade of the competition. He was selected to be part of the French Team and prepare the artistic piece during the 2022 Boulangerie World Cup.

The team was followed by a TV production team and were filmed during the training as well as in Lyon during the competition.

Chef Boudot participated in SIRHA TV, where he did a demonstration on “Breakfast tip: Making croissants”.

Chef Danniel also participated in SIRHA TV for “The Pastry Chef” demonstration.

Chef Danniel and Chef Houchet from Le Cordon Bleu London also made artistic sugar and chocolate centrepieces on our stand.

Chef Briffard and Chef Danniel did several book and recipe signings on Le Cordon Bleu and Electrolux (Le Cordon Bleu partner) stands.

We were honoured to welcome the Ambassador of United States in France, Son Excellence Jamie McCourt, who assisted in a sugar art demonstration by Chef Nicolas Houchet.

We also hosted Toasts to Friendship with alumni, partners and fellow Chefs who visited our stand. On Sunday 27 January, WM.Signature did a mixology demonstration and created cocktails inspired by Le Cordon Bleu international network: Champagne for France, Passion fruit for South America, Gin for London, Maple Syrup for Canada.

We also supported Tom Milligan as the president of the Australian team for the Bocuse d’Or competition.

A fantastic event filled with emotion and gastronomy.
