The Hôtel de la Marine, a historic Parisian establishment, has been an integral part of French history since the 18th century. Located on the Place de la Concorde, it has retained all its period charm, thanks to its timeless architecture and objets d'art. Today, the Hôtel de la Marine is a landmark of French heritage, thanks to its cultural and historical heritage.

For several weeks now, the Hôtel de la Marine has been sharing this prestige with Le Cordon Bleu Paris, hosting culinary, pastry and oenology workshops. Some of the world's greatest chefs are now based here, offering workshops for all. The aim: to help people discover and promote unique French know-how.

Through exceptional products and with the help of France's greatest chefs, Le Cordon Bleu Paris offers its students and the general public the chance to learn and, above all, to gain access to the best-kept secrets of French gastronomy.

Culinary and wine workshops open to the general public

With over 35 schools in 20 countries around the world, Le Cordon Bleu has decided to return to its roots by opening a new creative space in the heart of Paris. The special feature of this new establishment is that it is open to the public, with culinary workshops adapted to all levels.

You'll be able to benefit from the expertise of Cuisine, Pastry, and oenology experts, on hand to help you explore French gastronomy and watch culinary demonstrations.

Cuisine workshops and cuisine demonstrations

These culinary workshops are the perfect opportunity to discover the recipes of the great gourmet chefs. Using fresh seasonal produce, you'll have access not only to the gems of French cuisine, but also to those from around the world (Creole and overseas cuisine, for example).

The Cuisine - Captain workshop has been designed for culinary art lovers who want to develop their knowledge of gourmet cuisine. The workshop lasts 2 hours, and includes a 30-minute tasting session.

The Cuisine - Admiral Workshop will enable you to push back your limits by learning to master different flavours, as well as the presentation of a dish. This workshop lasts 3 hours, with a 30-minute tasting session.

The aim behind these culinary workshops is also to celebrate French producers, who have been crafting culinary jewels for decades. The recipes developed by our experienced chefs combine creativity, finesse and raw ingredients, inviting you to enjoy the unique taste of several dishes from French gastronomy.

Le Cordon Bleu Paris also offers the public the chance to discover the secrets of star chefs, with a cuisine demonstration. For 1 hour, a Chef will prepare a dish in front of you, before tasting it together in a special setting.

Pastry workshops: Discover the secrets of French pastry-making

The pastry workshop will be the perfect opportunity to (re)discover your favourite French pastries, under the supervision of a Le Cordon Bleu Paris pastry chef. This culinary workshop offers you the chance to create and modernise pastry classics, revisited by our greatest pastry chefs.

The Pastry - Captain Workshop has been designed for pastry who want to prepare delicate dishes. The workshop lasts 2 hours, and includes a 30-minute tasting session.

Wine workshops: immerse yourself in the world of wine tasting

Passionate about wine? Let yourself be tempted by the wine workshops! The world of wine is constantly evolving, which is why our Institute has joined forces with the Hôtel de la Marine to offer the general public a workshop based on this complex and fascinating universe.

Pairing food with wine, discovering different flavours and textures, or sharing a unique moment with wine experts: these are just some of the opportunities offered by the wine workshops.

This unique experience in the heart of Paris is made for you: whether you're a wine lover or a future wine merchant, this workshop will give you the chance to find out more about the best winemakers and grape varieties. Our wine experts will be on hand to answer your questions and give you all the oenological knowledge you need.

Dinner workshops: an extraordinary culinary experience

Le Cordon Bleu Paris and the Hôtel de la Marine are also hosting a unique experience: the Dinner workshops. This original workshop brings together different menus throughout the year, with the aim of offering the best seasonal produce.

The 3-hour workshop is divided into 2 stages, allowing the public to get into the kitchen for 1 hour 30 minutes, then enjoy sweet and savoury dishes until the end of the workshop.

During the first stage of this culinary workshop, each participant will have the opportunity to prepare the Entrée du menu, under the watchful eye of a gourmet chef. A glass of champagne will be offered at the start of the workshop.

The second stage will consist of tasting the same Starter, as well as the Supper, made up of several savoury and sweet dishes, prepared by a gourmet Chef. This tasting workshop has been devised by a number of Michelin-starred chefs, with the aim of sharing their expertise and putting their talent and knowledge at the service of the general public.

Culinary workshops: the Tea Time workshop, a time for sharing and excellence

Le Cordon Bleu Paris also offers you the chance to stop your watch for an afternoon, with an extraordinary experience: the Tea Time Workshop. 

This 3-hour workshop takes place every Friday and Saturday at the Hôtel de la Marine, and will allow you to savour a selection of teas from around the world, with the first part a chance to make macaroons with the help of a Pastry Chef.

The second part of the workshop is devoted to tasting different teas, sweet and savoury treats, with a glass of Champagne!

The aim of this Tea Time workshop is to transport our guests into the world of the English 'Afternoon Tea', an unmissable moment of culinary prestige.

Depending on the Tea Time chosen and the season, you'll be able to sample a whole host of sweet and savoury treats: homemade salmon gravlax, flamiche with seasonal vegetables, exotic passion fruit and mango tarts or praline-filled choux pastries.

The Tea Time Workshop is the perfect opportunity to spend a unique moment in an equally unique setting: the Hôtel de la Marine.
