130 Years Anniversary: a year of celebration
2025 saw Le Cordon Bleu celebrate 130 years of excellence in culinary education. Here we look back at those celebrations from around the world.
Born in Madrid, José Sol began his professional career in marketing and public relations before discovering his true passion, Jamón Ibérico. For over 17 years, he has dedicated himself to elevating the culture of jamón worldwide. In 2010, he moved to the United Kingdom with a mission: to introduce and educate the market on the art of Jamón Ibérico.
Today, José Sol is recognized as one of the most influential ambassadors of Spanish gastronomy. His knives have carved jamón in some of the most prestigious venues across the globe, from the United States to Russia, throughout Europe, Asia, and Australia. In China, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, South Korea, and Australia, he has trained over 500 chefs, sharing his expertise and passion for this culinary tradition. José Sol’s expertise transforms every jamón he carves into an unforgettable gastronomic experience.
Attendees enjoyed a cultural talk on Iberian ham, highlighting its rich history and the craftsmanship behind it followed by a demonstration on how to properly clean and prepare the jamón, plating techniques and tasting.
