Make your foodie dream come true with a Le Cordon Bleu Bachelor of Business (Food Entrepreneurship)! This three year undergraduate program, based out of Adelaide (South Australia), includes two six-month placements working in food-related businesses and all the food business management skills to help you succeed in your career. Gain a better understanding of food history, food and wine pairing, food production and merchandising, as well as important skills like leadership, management and ethical business practises.
Le Cordon Bleu Bachelor of Business (Food Entrepreneurship) student, Taylor, has been hungry for a career in food business since first bite.
“Through the combination of my work experience, the hands-on components and detailed theory that Le Cordon Bleu offers in gastronomic practise, communication skills, financial principles, food product development, entrepreneurial management skills, and more, I have been provided an exclusive opportunity to fulfil my goal to open a small business showcasing the culinary delights from countries I have visited and dream of visiting, all using the excellence and variety of local South Australian produce”
Taylor is currently in Stage 4 of her studies and is completing her second Professional Experience placement at Pickle in the Middle, a groovy food concept store and café in Adelaide, South Australia offering creative and nourishing breakfast and lunch menus, healthy drinks such as a turmeric and ginger ‘tonic’, and of course great coffee. Being a true entrepreneur, Taylor has other projects she is also working on, including contributing her product design and innovation knowledge towards the launch of a new Native Australian food and wellbeing brand due to launch at the end of 2015, working on recipe development and food marketing projects for personal clients, contributing as a guest presenter on Radio Adelaide’s food program ‘Gastronaut’, and becoming heavily involved with Slow Food South Australia.
Le Cordon Bleu still have a few places available in the Bachelor of Business (Food Entrepreneurship) degree for January 2016. Partial tuition scholarships are available for young entrepreneurs, like current student Taylor (pictured). So, if you are, or know a young #foodie looking for an awesome business degree to study in January please let them know. (Perhaps someone from a food family, leaving school, bored in their current degree or not ready for a Masters).
