Advent Day Seven: Christmas Salt

Sel de Noel, or Christmas Salt, is a treat for the eyes as well as the tongue. A combination of Himalayan salt, wasabi sesame seeds and pink berries, this mix has an unmistakably festive colour scheme.

Did you know that Himalayan salt reportedly contains more than 80 trace minerals that aren’t found in regular salt? Traces of calcium, magnesium, iodine, potassium, iron, and zinc and more can reportedly be found in the salt that is mined from the Himalayan Mountain range in Pakistan, which aren’t present in sea salt.

This mix brings a slightly spicy and colourful touch to meat dishes, seafood, particularly scallops, foie gras and poultry.
