Visits Le Cordon Bleu Ateneo

Le Cordon Bleu Ateneo warmly welcomed Mr. Manny V. Pangilinan, one of the country’s most respected business leaders and a steadfast supporter of Ateneo de Manila University.

Mr. Pangilinan visited as a special guest of Ateneo President Fr. Bobby Yap, SJ. Joining Fr. Bobby in welcoming him were Ms. Bernadine Sy, member of the Ateneo Board of Trustees, and Ms. Liza Hernandez-Morales, Institute Director of Le Cordon Bleu Ateneo.

The Le Cordon Bleu Ateneo culinary team prepared a hearty merienda cena, featuring French favorites such as Pasta Provençal, Spinach Quiche, Seafood Pasta, Macarons, Raspberry Mango Tartelettes, Madeleine Citrus, and Opera Cakes.

A highlight of the gathering was a surprise prepared by the institute’s staff and students. They serenaded Mr. Pangilinan with “Happy Birthday” and presented him with two Opéra cakes — one inscribed with a birthday greeting in Filipino, and the other in French. Both cakes were crafted by Le Cordon Bleu Ateneo’s French pastry chef, Julien Bispo.

Mr. Pangilinan graciously thanked the Le Cordon Bleu Ateneo team, remarking that “the food was excellent.”
