Guest Chef Anna Krasovskaia visits Le Cordon Bleu London

Pastry Chef Anna Krasovskaia returned to Le Cordon Bleu London for a guest chef demonstration event which showcased why she has gained international acclaim for her cake making and decorating skills.

Le Cordon Bleu London alumna Anna Krasovskaia is Pastry Chef and owner of confectionery boutique and studio Confectionery Anna Krasovskaia, which is located in her hometown of St. Petersburg, Russia. The patisserie features classic bakes ranging from a variety of handmade cakes, desserts, sweets, French chocolates, breads and pastries, made for special occasions.

Graduating from Le Cordon Bleu London where she acquired her Diplôme de Pâtisserie, her book Fashion Cakes won the best Dessert and Pastry book at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards international contest. Anna also runs her own YouTube channel on confectionary art, and her cakes have been featured in Buzzfeed and in the Russian media. She has made deserts for stars including Mick Jagger, Antonio Banderas, Natalia Vodianova and many Russian celebrities and business men.

In her demonstration at Le Cordon Bleu, she prepared a Honey Cake, a whimsical masterpiece made with layers of honey cake, coated with layers of sour cream whip, salted caramel, walnut and ganache for flattening. Anna’s motto for baking is a cake should always look as delightful as it tastes. To decorate it, she opts for a floral, leaf theme. She does this by creating layers of petals, which she paints to bring to life, imitating an embroidery pattern.

All guests delighted in tasters of the freshly-made honey cake, as she discussed her journey and career since graduating from the institute.
