It is customary for the school to invite local or international visiting chefs from the industry to present cooking demonstration to our students. This is to give our students inspiration and a taste of industry cooking trends and style.
We took the opportunity to invite 3 Alumni of Sunway Le Cordon Bleu, Brendon Chen (Chef & Co-owner of Playte) and Nicole Siew & Caitlyn Chong from Akâr to demonstrate their signature dishes.
Chef Brendon showcased two exquisite dishes: Duck with Beetroot and Citrus, followed by a delectable Strawberry Cheesecake. Meanwhile, Nicole and Caitlyn demonstrated their culinary prowess with Patin, Petai Miso, and Indian Nightshade. These demonstrations vividly reflect the Le Cordon Bleu teaching methodology, a testament to the skills they honed during their Diplôme De Cuisine studies in Sunway Le Cordon Bleu.
For the students this is definitely an eye opener of a different perspective to their future development when they enter the industry as professionals chefs one day.
