Learn from the best

Dr Susie Chant (Master of International Hospitality Management Lecturer & Postgraduate Coordinator, Le Cordon Bleu Australia) shares her insights on why you should consider studying this industry recognised programme.

Why should Le Cordon Bleu students or alumni consider this Master's degree?
Our Master’s degree is very similar to an MBA and students work on some really exciting projects! They develop a hypothetical hotel, and take it from concept, to business plan, and finally, to a feasibility study. All these skills can be used and applied in the real world. Students also undertake a paid 6-month industry placement, or if they prefer, a research project on a hospitality topic of their choice, which takes the form of a Master’s thesis.

Is this postgraduate degree suited to those with industry experience looking to upskill?
This Master’s programme has so much to offer those working in industry looking to upskill, such as leadership strategies, hospitality design, strategic thinking, management styles, practical and research skills - plus you’ll be learning with a warm and welcoming team of students and lecturers!

Le Cordon Bleu has a Master’s degree specifically tailored by industry experts to prepare hospitality leaders for senior management

What career advantages does it offer over a generic MBA?
Our lecturers share a lifetime of incredible industry experiences, on top of that, they all have PhDs, are expert academics in their field and absolutely love to teach! Le Cordon Bleu is considered a niche brand which means our graduate students are often given priority when applying for positions.

Which coveted roles have alumni won after graduating?
Le Cordon Bleu graduates have been headhunted for prime positions within international hospitality companies, such as Revenue Analyst, Marketing Manager, Product Developer, General Manager, Human Resources Manager, and even CEO. Some of our graduates work as Restaurant Managers, Hotel Supervisors, Business Owners, Team leaders, and Entrepreneurs.

What makes the Le Cordon Bleu Master of International Hospitality Management so special?
Le Cordon Bleu Australia's Master's degree is an internationally recognised qualification from a prestige brand recognised in industry for its 125-year history, delivered at a quality University campus by world-class lecturers.
