Le Cordon Bleu London recently hosted a guest chef demonstration in partnership with Generation 2030 celebrating Saudi cuisine. Generation 2030 is a non-profit organization devoted to building cultural bridges between the Saudi and British youth.
Alongside the opportunity to learn about the rich food culture of Saudi Arabia, the event featured a culinary demonstration from Le Cordon Bleu alumna Khulood Olaqi, a professional chef, entrepreneur and co-founder of Oishii Sushi Restaurant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Khulood gained a Diploma in Gastronomy, Nutrition and Food Trends at Le Cordon Bleu London in 2021.
Chef Khulood demonstrated her version of a classic Saudi dish, lamb shank with dates and orange, accompanied by rice with vermicceli noodles. Khulood was assisted on the demonstration by Le Cordon Bleu student and TV host, Omar Alwatban.
