Alfajor's Recipe!

Our Chef Pablo Peralta shared with us this delicious recipe of Alfajor, one of the great symbols of Argentine cuisine. Travel with us by baking these delicious biscuits!


  • 150g butter
  • 150g sugar
  • 15g Cognac
  • ½ Lemon zest
  • Vanilla Extract (to taste)
  • 9 egg yolk
  • 400g Corn Starch
  • 100g Wheat Flour T45
  • 10g Chemical Yeast
  • 500 g Dulce de leche
  • 300g grated coconut


Mix the butter with the sugar and work until it turns white

Add cognac, lemon zest and vanilla extract, until the mixture is smooth
Add the egg yolks one by one
Add the flour together with the corn starch and the chemical yeast
When the dough is formed, let stand in the refrigerator for two hours

Roll out the dough with the help of a pasta roller until it is 7mm thick
Cut the dough into 6 cm discs

Bake at 160 ° for 15 min.
Let it cool and add dulce de leche and shredded coconut as a filling
