Explore Italian cuisine in this 6-hour class focussed on classic dishes from the Lombardia region of Italy, including Minestrone di Verdure, Ossobuco with Gremolada, Risotto alla Milanese and Sbrisolona Mantovana.
In this class, you will learn how to prepare and cook various vegetables, braise an Ossobuco and prepare a gramolada, as well as making a Minestrone soup, a risotto and a crumble.
- Minestrone di Verdure: Minestrone soup (2 portions).
- Ossobuco with Gremolada: Veal shank with a parsley, lemon and garlic sauce (2 portions).
- Risotto alla Milanese: Bone marrow and saffron risotto (2 portions).
- Sbrisolona Mantovana: Polenta, almonds and vanilla crumble (4 portions).
Everything you make is yours to enjoy on the day or take away with you. No prior knowledge is required for this course and it is suitable for both novices and cooks with some experience.
Class structure
Your day will be a mixture of in-kitchen demonstrations performed by the chef who is running the session and hands-on practical cookery, where you are guided by the expert teaching chef. The exact format will vary from class to class depending on the style of cuisine and length of the course.
