2 Day Sake Making Experience at Historic Kyoto Sake Brewery

Take a step back in time and immerse yourself in this rare opportunity to have a hands on brewing experience at an historic sake brewery in picturesque Fushimi, located 20 minutes from central Kyoto. Co-hosted by Gekkeikan and Le Cordon Bleu Japan, participants will experience the traditional sake brewing processes under the guidance of one of the leading sake brewers in Japan. The practical learning experiences will also be supported by theoretical lectures, formal sake tastings and special food and sake pairing dinners. This is an exceptional cultural and educational experience not to be missed!

・Preparation of koshiki rice steamer
・Handling of steamed rice
・Tome shikomi
・Cleaning of sake brewery and tools
・Lecture:Sake Brewing 2
・Sake tasting
・Tour of Ote main breweries
・Closing ceremony

Level: Open to all – no previous experience required
