Shanghai, April 19, 2025 – A century of craftsmanship, a fusion of East and West – Le Cordon Bleu, the world-renowned culinary institution, marked a historic milestone as its Shanghai campus celebrated its 10th anniversary with a grand festival of flavors, culture, and innovation.
For the past decade, Le Cordon Bleu Shanghai has woven the elegance of French gastronomy into the vibrant tapestry of Shanghai's culinary scene, fostering a cross-cultural dialogue through the universal language of food. The 10th-anniversary celebration was not just a feast for the senses but a testament to the enduring legacy of culinary artistry and cultural exchange.
Pop-Up Market: A Gastronomic Wonderland
One of the highlights of the festivities was the Le Cordon Bleu Pop-Up Market, a bustling hub of gourmet delights and artisanal craftsmanship. Guests indulged in an immersive culinary experience, complete with interactive workshops, creative photo installations, and an array of exquisite flavors.
At the heart of the market was a special exhibition of 10th Anniversary Limited Edition Merchandise—bespoke souvenirs that embodied Le Cordon Bleu's 130-year heritage of excellence. These meticulously crafted pieces served as both keepsakes and symbols of the institution's unwavering commitment to quality and innovation.
Adding to the excitement, standout alumni brands and premium Sino-French gourmet labels showcased their signature creations, offering a taste of culinary ingenuity. Interactive Delights: Lucky Draws & Calligraphy Tributes
The celebration was further enlivened by engaging activities, including a raffle hosted by Ms. Sara Shang, Managing Director of Le Cordon Bleu Greater China, who presented lucky winners with exclusive gifts.
In a beautiful fusion of culture and cuisine, guests were invited to pen heartfelt messages on rice paper, blending the art of calligraphy with the celebration's festive spirit. The interplay of ink and aroma underscored Le Cordon Bleu's deep appreciation for the dialogue between Eastern and Western aesthetics.
Chef's Party: Hands-On French Culinary
A major crowd-pleaser was the Mini Workshop Series, where 96 participants had the rare opportunity to craft French classics under the guidance of Le Cordon Bleu's chefs. From piping perfect choux pastry to searing scallops, budding chefs of all ages discovered the joys of French culinary techniques in a fun, interactive setting.
These workshops not only demystified professional cooking but also embodied Le Cordon Bleu's core philosophy of transmission—passing down time-honored skills to the next generation.
Alumni Homecoming: A Celebration of Legacy & Innovation
The most poignant moment of the event was the return of distinguished alumni, who shared their journeys from Le Cordon Bleu classrooms to culinary stardom.
Vincent Xu, a celebrated alumnus and Culinary Ambassador, took the stage to recount how his training at Le Cordon Bleu propelled him to success in the competitive world of gastronomy. Joining him were other luminaries, including Zhong Luqi, Pang Junjie, Ricky Yu.
