Le Cordon Bleu Scholarship 2026

London

Le Cordon Bleu London are delighted to announce this year’s exciting Le Cordon Bleu Scholarship competition.

This year's competition offers the chance to win a place on Le Cordon Bleu's Intensive Diplôme de Pâtisserie followed by the Diploma in Pâtisserie Innovation and Internship Pathway, alongside accommodation for a year, mentoring from Michel Roux and Chris Galvin, dinner at Sketch and much more.

We are searching for some of the UK's most passionate pastry enthusiasts – regardless of age, location or background. Applications opened on 30th March 2026, inviting ambitious individuals with a love for pâtisserie to compete for a life-changing opportunity to study at Le Cordon Bleu London.

The 2026 scholarship competition will focus on providing a comprehensive education in the pastry arts, offering a prize package worth over £75,000, including a full scholarship to study the prestigious The Diplôme de Pâtisserie with Diploma in Pâtisserie Innovation, a three-month internship at CORD Restaurant, mentoring from industry leaders, including celebrated chefs such as Michel Roux Jr. and Chris Galvin, 12 months of accommodation from Londonist, and dinner for four at the 3 Michelin-starred Sketch Lecture Room. Second runner-up will receive a place on our Basic Pâtisserie 3-month programme, and third runner-up a place on our Food Photography & Styling course. Both runners-ups will also receive a 2-week internship at Cord restaurant and special prizes from Phaidon. Sketch will also be providing all runner-ups with Afternoon Tea for two at the Gallery.

On his mentoring role in Le Cordon Bleu Scholarship, Michel Roux mentioned: ‘I am delighted to continue my role in helping to nurture the culinary talent of the future as part of Le Cordon Bleu Scholarship. This year offers a once in a life time opportunity for an aspiring pastry chef to gain valuable training and industry experience with Le Cordon Bleu. The Scholarship will ensure a strong start to a career in pâtisserie.'

Each year, Le Cordon Bleu London’s scholarship competition attracts some of the UK’s most promising aspiring chefs. In 2025, Emma Keenan from Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland was announced the winner after an intense final challenge at Le Cordon Bleu London.

Reflecting on her win, Emma shared: ‘I don't think I've ever felt so proud of myself in my life. Anyone who is considering applying for the next Scholarship you absolutely need to believe and just take that shot.’

The competition will take place in four stages, the first round through an online application, the quarter-finals will require a recipe submission online,  the semi-final in the form of an interview, and the final will feature a culinary challenge and interview.
