On the 17th of March 2023, our cuisine students rose in the early hours to prepare for the Superior Kitchen Competition.

The class of 6 is split into 3 teams, each team is challenged with creating 3 types of tapas. One must be vegetarian, one with their choice of protein, and the third having no restrictions. They must serve 30 total, 10 for each type.

The teams are not provided with any recipes or assistance, they arrive in the morning to discover their ingredients and have 4 hours to plan and execute their dishes. This is a high-pressure exercise that pushes students to apply their teachings and compete in an even competition against their peers.

The judges had a difficult task deciding a winner, all students managed to create a stunning collection of tapas. The quality of flavour and presentation was high across the board, all competing students should be proud of their accomplishment.
