Grand Diplôme, Diplôme Pâtisserie and Diplôme Cuisine Graduation Cerimony from Le Cordon Bleu Rio de Janeiro class 2018/2019!

Le Cordon Bleu Rio de Janeiro Culinary Arts Diploma graduation ceremony took place on April 3rd. To celebrate this occasion, students and their guests were invited to Blue Note, a jazz club overviewing the beautiful Lagoa. The night went smoothly to the sound of jazzy notes while awarding our first class of Grand Diplôme, Diplôme Patisserie and Diplôme Cuisine Superior Level.

We couldn’t be prouder of our students! 18 stars that completed the Superior Level and showed through their talented hands that French culinary lives in the tropical Brazil as well! What a journey.

The ceremony went along with a special speech of our Director Sofia Mesquita and the Head Chefs João Paulo and Philippe Brye and a message from the Technical Academic Director Patrick Martin. The words...

It felt like I was in Paris.
- Head Chef Jõao Paulo Frankenfeld

... were heard over and over. It has been 9 months since students joinedLe Cordon Bleu Rio de Janeiro to master French Cuisine techniques. We can now say: mission accomplished!

formatura, diplomas

It all finished with a final evaluation where they presented a dish, for cuisine, and a tart, for
pâtisserie, from their ownership combining the finest techniques and ingredients. We invited Chefs from a variety of notable places in Rio de Janeiro to join the board of judges for the final test. Chef Pablo Ferreyra (from Hilton), Chef Nicola Fedeli (from Fasano), Chef David Jobert (Bistrot du Cuisinier), Chef Joel Guerin, Chef Pasquale Joly and our Chef Technical Academic Director Patrick Martin (Le Cordon Bleu).

These Diplômes represent all the hard work and expertise. They come along with a cocktail of emotions, from demanding expectations to overjoyed conquers. We couldn’t be prouder of our students!

More than an institute Le Cordon Bleu is a life project to me.

I arrived to learn to cook and I found the best psychiatrist in Brazil. I don't want to be discharged...
