Le Cordon Bleu President & CEO,
M. André J. Cointreau
visits New Zealand



On the 21st of May 2023, Monsieur Cointreau arrived in Wellington. He was welcomed by Le Cordon Bleu New Zealand staff and students with a formal dinner celebrating New Zealand’s finest ingredients.


Notable guests in attendance included Madame Laurence Beau, the French Ambassador to New Zealand; David Shackleton, Chaîne des Rôtisseurs New Zealand’s bailli; Sharon McCrostie, Education New Zealand (ENZ) Director Sector Engagement; Wayne Dyer, Chief Executive, Independent Tertiary Education NZ (ITENZ); Mark Oldershaw, LCBNZ outgoing Director; and Tumu Whenua Executive Director of Te Pukenga; and Nick Gurner, General Manager of Le Cordon Bleu Australia.


Students prepared and executed a luxurious dinner for our esteemed guests. M. Cointreau congratulated and thanked all in attendance for the welcome surprise and excellent service. At the end of the evening M. Cointreau personally thanked all students for their dedication and professionalism.

The following day M. Cointreau returned to campus to meet with more of our staff and students outlining Le Cordon Bleu’s impressive past and bright future. He offered the following wisdom to our students,


Be your own champion in life, pursuing your passions both personally and in your professional career.


Later that evening we bid M. Cointreau farewell and a pleasant stay with our friends at Le Cordon Bleu Australia. We look forward to hosting him again in the future.
