Le Cordon Bleu Dusit at Bonjour France 2018

Le Cordon Bleu Dusit was pleased to have been a part of Bonjour France 2018, the biggest French Fair in Thailand promoting culinary culture and lifestyle at the Central World recently. This event was organized by the Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce in celebration of the French National Day between 12 – 15 July 2018.

The opening ceremony was led by Mr. Thomas Sanchez, Vice-President of the Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce, followed by a welcome speech from the French Ambassador, H.E. Mr. Gilles Garachon.

“France and Thailand have been friends for a long time, over 300 years, including the diplomatic relationship that began over 160 years ago making us today like longtime friends. Bonjour France 2018 is not just a trade show but a great opportunity for friends to meet and learn what the French people are proud of, whether it is food culture, fashion or lifestyle.” said H.E. Mr. Gilles Garachon.

Le Cordon Bleu Dusit was honored to welcome the French Ambassador H. E. Mr. Gilles Garachon, FTCC Vice-President Mr. Thomas Sanchez, and VIPs, accompanied by organizers, guests and press to visit our booth.

In this event, Le Cordon Bleu Dusit met with much interest from the public both in learning more about our programs and workshops, as well as subsidizing our fundraising products and contributing towards our Charity Fundraising efforts. Visitors also very much enjoyed tasting our pastry items especially prepared by our very own Le Cordon Bleu chefs and alumni.

One of the highlights of the Bonjour France 2018 fair was the special French pastry live demonstration by Chef Frederic Legras, our Le Cordon Bleu Dusit Pastry Chef Instructor. On stage, Chef Frederic impressed the crowd with his clear and insightful instructions on the making macaron, and well as tips on the piping technique. The audience especially loved the tasting the red-current and pink peppercorn macaron at the end of the session.
