London Graduation September 2020

On 11th September Le Cordon Bleu London held a graduation with a difference. Due to safety measures, the usual large ceremony with family and friends present was not possible. To ensure that graduating students could share this momentous occasion with their loved ones, the school arranged for the event to be live streamed online. In order to observe social distancing rules, the event was split into two groups, with separate morning and afternoon ceremonies.

Le Cordon Bleu London couldn’t be prouder of the students who graduated this month. Earlier this year it was uncertain exactly when the school would be able to reopen, but with the hard work and dedication of the team who readied the building to accommodate social distancing measures, and put in place increased cleaning duties on an already rigorous cleaning routine, the school was able to open it’s doors in July. Students and staff alike embraced the safety measures and showed great determination in going on to complete their programmes.

Despite the unusual circumstances, the ceremony was a great success, with speeches from Le Cordon Bleu master chefs and graduating students in person and guests via video. Guest speakers included Nico Fitzgerald, Head Chef at London Stock restaurant, and Masaki Sugisaki, Executive Chef at Dinings SW3. The graduates were also able to enjoy a small socially distant celebration following the ceremony.

The class of September 2020 have shown they have the grit and determination to take on the world, and Le Cordon Bleu London extends huge congratulations to their new alumni and wishes them the very best of luck as they go onto their next endeavour.
