Le Cordon Bleu at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games

In partnership with Ottawa Tourism and the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Le Cordon Bleu is honoured to be participating in the exciting events being hosted at Ontario House at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

Le Cordon Bleu’s award winning chefs, Chef Armando Baisas and Chef Christian Faure MOF have been invited to demonstrate their talents in ice sculpting, chocolate carving and dessert making for visitors at Ontario House from February 24th- 26th.

Chef Armando Baisas is a multiple gold medal winner at ice festivals all over the world, having earned titles in the prestigious Winterlude International Ice Carving Competition in Ottawa and the Alaska International Ice Carving Competition. He is the recipient of the Phillippines Presidential Award and in 2008 was awarded the title of World Carving Champion. If you would like to see ice, fruit and vegetables turned into works of art, come and watch Chef Armando, Master Sculptor in action.

Chef Christian Faure MOF, recipient of the highly coveted “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” a distinction given to the finest craftsmen in France, will be delighting visitors with chocolate and pâtisserie demonstrations. Not only will you get to watch a world class chef demonstrate his artistry in pastry, but you will also get to taste his culinary masterpieces while quantities last. Chef Christian has been a gold medalist in many culinary competitions and has been named “Best Pastry Chef in the World” by the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences.
