In this friendly and inviting evening wine course, you will explore the diversity and the richness of the wines across the world.
Over the last 20 years wines from outside the famous European regions have changed dramatically and are now engaged in fierce competition in their quest for excellence. The great classic wines of Europe have never been better but quality wines from every corner of the world are now competing with them. This module is about broadening your tasting horizons, discovering exceptional wines from a number of different provenance including North and South-America, Mediterranean Europe, Continental Europe, South-Africa, and Australasia.
Global Gems: Modern Classics from Around the World provides a greater understanding and appreciation of wine through lively and engaging evening sessions. You will quickly develop a more discerning palate, for the benefit of your professional success and for your own personal satisfaction.
This course is composed of seven classes of two hours, held on consecutive Thursday evenings.
- Difficulty level: prior wine tasting knowledge (e.g Wine Essentials or WSET level 1) is highly recommended
- About 40 wines will be tasted
- Thursday evenings - from 7 to 9pm
Overseen by Matthieu Longuere MS, Le Cordon Bleu London wine master classes aims at giving a better understanding and appreciation of wine through the study of some key winemaking process, regions and relevant topics such food and wine pairing.
