How to apply:
Le Cordon Bleu Professional Learning

You can apply to study with Le Cordon Bleu Professional Learning online. Online application is processed and confirmed quickly by the Le Cordon Bleu Admissions Office.

Important note about English Language Proficiency: Units of study are delivered in English.  As this is a non-award unit of study no proficiency level is officially required.  Participants must make their own decision about their own capacity (English-proficiency or otherwise) to undertake the course.

Le Cordon Bleu Online recommends IELTS of no less than 6.0 to gain the full benefits of undertaking this unit of study.

How to Apply

      1. Apply Online

        Apply online for your preferred unit of study. Please enrol using your full correct name as per your passport/ identification. Simply complete the online application form and submit payment for the unit via credit card or request an invoice to make an electronic money transfer.

        Should your application not be accepted for any reason, you will be notified via email immediately. Some units of study will only be offered to limited participants and you may be placed on the waiting list.
         
        Note: The name on your passport/ identification will be used for your student records and on all official documentation issued as a result of your study.

      2. Required Documents for Application

        You will be required to upload a scanned copy of your passport or photo identification to complete your application. The name on your passport will be used for your student records and on all official documentation issued as a result of your study.

      3. Confirmation of Application

        You will receive a Confirmation of Application once your application is approved, your payment and passport copy have been received.

      4. Should you wish to apply for Course Credit?

        Course Credit, or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), may be granted towards the Professional Certificate and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.  A maximum of 16 credit points will be granted for any one individual.

        The Course Credit application is a process that involves assessment of your relevant prior learning (including formal, informal and non-formal learning) to determine the credit outcomes of an individual application for credit.

        Course Credit will only apply if you have successfully completed previous studies that closely match the content and learning outcomes of units from this course. Prior study of undergraduate units within an undergraduate course is not sufficient.

      5. To apply for Course Credit:
          1. Complete the Academic Credit Application Form

        Please refer to our evidence guide for information that will assist your application. This includes how to complete the form and the types of evidence required, such as:

            • Certified copies of High School Certificate/Diplomas or equivalent qualification
            • Certified copies of academic transcripts
            • Certified copies of Letter(s) of Completion from Tertiary Institutions/Universities
            • Subject curriculum documentation (relevant to the unit(s) of study you are seeking Academic credit towards
            • Evidence of work experience provided in the form of a letter from your employer stating your dates of employment, position(s) held, duties undertaken and number of hours worked
            • Curriculum Vitae / Resume.

        Please ensure that your documents are valid and are in a format to allow you to submit with your application.

        1. Submit your Completed Application Form

          All supporting documentation must be submitted with your completed application form.

        2. Assessment of Application

          Applications for Course Credit will be assessed by Academic Services and will take between 10-14 days to be completed. Should your application for Course Credit not be accepted, you will be notified via email with a guide as to why you were unsuccessful in this instance.

          A Confirmation of Application will be sent to approved applicants. This will be sent to the email address advised on your application.

      6. Preparation to Study

        Two weeks prior to the commencement of your studies you will be issued your Le Cordon Bleu mycordonbleu.net email address and your application codes to enrol yourself into the Le Cordon Bleu Learning Management System ENGAGE.

        Participants will be expected to access their ENGAGE learning portal prior to the commencement date of their unit(s) of study.  All learning materials (other than the prescribed textbook) will be available in ENGAGE.

      7. Enrolment into ENGAGE Learning Portal

        Your unit of study will be delivered via Le Cordon Bleu’s easy-to-use ENGAGE learning portal with supportive learning resources and state-of-the-art audio and video conferencing software that produces a rich and interactive and collaborative learning environment.

        The ENGAGE portal also includes helpful information sites that provide access to resources, communication tools and useful links that are integral to you succeeding in your studies.

        The ENGAGE learning portal can be accessed using Microsoft and/or Apple.  Some lecturers use Apple computers also. There is no disadvantage either way.

      8. Prescribed Texts

        Some units of study will require a prescribed textbook(s).  Prescribed textbooks are included in the cost of the unit and will be shipped to your residential address at least one week prior to the commencement of the unit.

      9. Welcome and Orientation

        A ‘Welcome to your Unit’ orientation is included at the commencement of each unit of study in ENGAGE, introducing you to your facilitator and fellow participants. We look forward to welcoming you to Le Cordon Bleu Professional Learning and supporting your learning journey!

      10. Should you wish to Defer or Withdraw from a Unit

        The Le Cordon Bleu Professional Learning refund policy applies to all participants.  All notification of withdrawals and request for refunds must be made in writing to Le Cordon Bleu by completing a Request for Refund form.  No refund will be given after the commencement of a unit, except in exceptional circumstances. Refund guidelines are as follows:

        More than 28 days prior to the unit commencement

        85% of tuition fees refunded less USD$150 administration charge

        Or

        Tuition fees deferred to another intake
        Less than 28 days prior to the commencement of the unit

        Tuition fees deferred to another intake
        Upon commencement of the unit Nil Refund
        Course deferred Tuition fees transferred

        If you wish to withdraw from Le Cordon Bleu Professional Learning, please complete a Withdrawal and Refund form and submit to our Admissions Team. Please read our Fees, Refunds and Conditions Policy for a detailed explanation of what refund you may be eligible for.

      11. Should you wish to request a Leave of Absence from Le Cordon Bleu

        During the unit of study, participants may apply for Leave of absence due to exceptional circumstances (e.g. illness or family disruption).

      12. Should you wish to defer your unit at Le Cordon Bleu

        You can defer your unit prior to the commencement of the unit.  Please complete a copy of a Deferral form and submit to our Admissions Team. Upon receipt, if approved, a new Confirmation of Enrolment will be issued.
