Le Cordon Bleu Australia celebrates exceptional achievement

Le Cordon Bleu Australia celebrates student graduationsIn August and September, 211 graduating students attended formal ceremonies in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, receiving parchments from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary, Bachelor’s, and Master’s programmes. 28 students were honoured across Le Cordon Bleu Australia with awards for outstanding achievement.


Sydney Graduation

Le Cordon Bleu Sydney graduation345 guests gathered at the International Convention Centre to attend Le Cordon Bleu Sydney’s graduation ceremony. 100 students graduated from Culinary and Bachelor’s programmes with 7 students awarded for outstanding achievement.

Master of Ceremonies, Dr Alan Bowen James (Deputy Dean & Head of Discipline) introduced the industry guest speaker, Stuart Walsh (Le Cordon Bleu Sydney Academic/Campus Manager & Chef) who shared industry insights gained from his successful career.


Melbourne Graduation

Le Cordon Bleu Melbourne GraduationLe Cordon Bleu Melbourne celebrated the achievements of graduating culinary students at Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre in South Wharf with 148 guests, including students, staff, assessors, academics and industry partners. 40 eligible students graduated from Le Cordon Bleu culinary programmes, with 6 students presented with awards for exceptional achievement.

Master of Ceremonies, Mr Ken de Mallindine introduced industry guest speaker Rojina McDonald, Founder & CEO of Soul Publishing who graduated from Le Cordon Bleu London in 2012 with a Certificat de Pâtisserie de base. Graduating student Anushree Sunil Phadke delivered the graduate response on behalf of cohorts.

251 guests assembled at Adelaide Town Hall to celebrate the graduation of Le Cordon Bleu Adelaide students. 71 students from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary, Bachelor’s, and Master’s programmes received parchments at the formal cocktail event, with 15 students honoured for outstanding achievement.

Amongst those in attendance were VIP guests; representatives from Le Cordon Bleu’s partner institutions Regency TAFE and University of South Australia; industry supporters; members of Le Cordon Bleu Academic Board; Master of Ceremonies Mr Stan Szczypiorski.

After Mr Rudi Scheel (Le Cordon Bleu Australia’s Chief Operating Officer) delivered the opening welcome speech, Industry Guest Speaker, alumna Katie Obst, who graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Bachelor of Business Hotel & Resort Management in 2008, spoke passionately about how she used the knowledge from her degree to successfully drive her career development and grow the businesses she has worked in.

Le Cordon Bleu warmly welcomes graduating students as the newest members of our global alumni family.
