Guest Chef demonstration and book signing with Jp McMahon

On 2nd March, Le Cordon Bleu London were joined by acclaimed Irish chef, Jp McMahon for a unique guest chef demonstration in celebration of the release of his new book, The Irish Cookbook (Phaidon).

Jp McMahon is a chef, restaurateur, food educator and food thought leader based in Galway, Ireland. He is Culinary Director at EATGalway Restaurant Group, which includes the Michelin-starred Aniar Restaurant, Cava Bodega and Tartare Café + Wine Bar.

Chef Jp brought a wonderful array of Irish ingredients to use in his demonstration, some of which Jp had foraged that morning before leaving Galway to come to London. Jp cooked three dishes; Lamb chops with rye and razor clams, Hay baked celeriac with winter chanterelles and seaweed broth and Monkfish with wild garlic.

In addition to his demonstration, guests had the opportunity to have a copy of Jp’s book signed by the man himself, and patiently queued up to meet him, snap pictures and take a closer look at the three beautifully plated dishes.
