Students network and celebrate achievement

Welcome & Networking events for culinary and bachelor programmes in Adelaide brought students together to celebrate the new study year and student achievement.

Culinary Welcome & Networking

Our Culinary Welcome & Networking event in Adelaide at Electra House had an excellent turn-out with 90 guests including new and continuing culinary students and staff.

Following a brief welcome speech by Shannon Hall, Academic Manager (VET), students enjoyed the opportunity to network with their peers and Le Cordon Bleu staff, while sampling delicious canapes and beverages.

The large grazing table proved extremely popular with guests, with a flow of canapes by Electra House staff, such as Master stock pork belly; Cured kingfish on rice crackers; and Truffled mac and cheese croquettes.

These vibrant gatherings are a great opportunity for students to connect with their cohort and Le Cordon Bleu family.

Bachelor Welcome & Networking

The Bachelor Welcome & Networking event at The Gallery in Adelaide’s CBD was the perfect opportunity to welcome new bachelor’s students and celebrate award recipients.

During formal proceedings, 20 Bronze and 23 Silver Pins were awarded. Ian Heath, Senior Lecturer, presented Diplôme Culinaire d’Hotelier parchments to 18 students to honour their successful completion of Stages 1 & 2 Bachelor of Business programme.

Emily Chapman won the Meritorious Award for Excellence (Stage 3) for achieving the highest grade point average. Her outstanding result was rewarded with a $3000 scholarship towards her continuing Bachelor of Business degree, and a Le Cordon Bleu medal.

The Excellence in Industry Awards were presented by Kerri Watton, Industry Engagement Manager, in recognition of outstanding performance during a six-month industry placement (Work Integrated Learning), and for representing Le Cordon Bleu to the highest standard in the hospitality industry. The Excellence in Industry Award for Stage 2 was awarded to Duy Tu Nguyen, and the Stage 4 award went to Emily Chapman.

Le Cordon Bleu congratulates all our talented students for their ongoing commitment to excellence.
