Acknowledgment of Career Education Corporation's announcement
Le Cordon Bleu International acknowledges the announcement by Career Education Corporation (CEC), a company independent from Le Cordon Bleu International, that the Le Cordon Bleu North America campuses operated by CEC will be discontinuing in the USA and the current students will be taught out. The last intake for CEC’s Le Cordon Bleu North America schools will be January 2016.
After a remarkable success leading to the opening of 16 schools in the USA in less than 10 years, the material changes to the legal framework in the USA and the consequences of such changes caused CEC’s educational and training business model to become non-viable.
The USA programmes are owned and operated independently by Career Education Corporation .
Accordingly the closing of the Le Cordon Bleu North America campuses across the USA by Career Education Corporation will not affect any operations of Le Cordon Bleu International worldwide including the Le Cordon Bleu International school in Ottawa, Canada.
Le Cordon Bleu International continues to operate its international schools, including the flagship school in Paris which will move to a new expanded campus located on the banks of the river Seine in 2016. Le Cordon Bleu schools and programmes will continue education and training business as usual in Paris, London, Madrid, Istanbul, Lebanon, Ottawa, Mexico, Peru, Brasil, Costa Rica, Panama, Santiago Chile, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, India, Taiwan , Malaysia, Thailand and China.
