Graduation Term 2 2021

Le cordon bleu london

On Friday 23rd July Le Cordon Bleu London held the graduation ceremony for term 2 2021. As safety measures are still in place, the graduation took place in three small groups throughout the day in order to observe social distancing guidelines, with only graduating students and teaching chefs present. Family and friends of the students could share this important occasion with their loved ones via a live stream of the event online.

The entire Le Cordon Bleu London team is extremely proud of the students who graduated this July and we would like to thank them for their patience and, more importantly, their dedication during the past few months. The ongoing need for extra safety measures has been a challenge for students and staff alike, but everyone has taken it in their stride and persevered in completing another successful term. The students who have graduated despite these unusual times have proven how dedicated and passionate they are, and this speaks volumes as to their potential in the hospitality industry.

Academic Director Chef Loic Malfait led the proceedings, with graduating Grand Diplôme student speaker, Thomas Taylor, delivering an amusing and inspiring speech to his fellow graduates at each ceremony. To offer their congratulations and words of advice for the graduates, students received special messages via video from Chef Matthew Zubrod, Culinary Director of The Little Nell in Aspen, USA and Le Cordon Bleu London alumnus, Chef Hugo John Herbert. The graduates were also able to enjoy a small socially distant reception following the ceremony, with champagne and canapes.

The 2021 Term 2 graduates have made it through a very tumultuous year and are sure to take on future challenges with equal gusto to that which they have displayed throughout their studies. Le Cordon Bleu London extends huge congratulations to the new alumni and wishes them all the very best of luck in whatever, and wherever, their diploma next takes them.
