London Graduation May 2021

On 15th May Le Cordon Bleu London held a later-than-usual graduation ceremony for Term 1 2021. As safety measures are still in place, the graduation took place in two groups in order to observe social distancing guidelines, with only graduating students and teaching chefs present. Family and friends of the students could share this important occasion with their loved ones via an online live stream.

Everyone at Le Cordon Bleu London is extremely proud of the students who graduated in May and we would like to thank them for their patience and, more importantly, their dedication during the past few months. The need for extra safety measures has been a challenge for students and staff alike, but everyone has taken it in their stride and persevered in completing another successful term. The students who have graduated despite these unusual times  have proven how dedicated and passionate they are, and this speaks volumes as to their potential in the hospitality industry.

Academic Director Chef Loic Malfait led the proceedings, with graduating student speaker, Sunita Ashwin Patel, delivering an inspiring speech to her fellow graduates both in person, and via pre-recorded video. To offer their support for the graduates, students received special messages via video from experienced chef Chris Galvin, Chef Patron at Galvin Restaurants and Le Cordon Bleu London alumna Olivia Burt, Head Chef at Stanley's Chelsea. The graduates were also able to enjoy a small socially distant reception following the ceremony.

The 2021 Term 1 graduates have made it through a very tumultuous year and are sure to take on future challenges with equal gusto which they have displayed throughout their studies. Le Cordon Bleu London extends huge congratulations to the new alumni and wishes them all the very best of luck in whatever, and wherever, their diploma next takes them.
