Le Cordon Bleu Sydney celebrates 21 years

The elegant cocktail function held at the Art Gallery of NSW was attended by 200 guests - alumni, industry representatives, media and staff - to recognise the contribution and achievements of lecturers, staff, industry partners, and alumni since the opening of the Sydney institute in 1996.

Guests were impressed with the aesthetics and design of the function area which was expertly fitted out with high-tech display screens featuring Sydney alumni and lecturers. Greeted at reception by Le Cordon Bleu staff and Sydney culinary and management students, guests enjoyed a leisurely walk in the foyer past a series of artworks (created in-house) promoting alumni achievements, then headed upstairs into the elegant cocktail function. They mingled upstairs while enjoying champagne and divine cocktail food (oysters, sashimi and duck pancakes) to the jazz stylings of musician Freesia.

Sophie Davies (Senior Brand Manager and MC) introduced Le Cordon Bleu representatives and guest speakers to the stage: Grahame Latham (Founding Director of Le Cordon Bleu Australia); Rodger Griffiths (Former General Manager of Le Cordon Bleu Australia & Former Adviser to the President of Le Cordon Bleu International); and industry guest speaker Rikesh Rajakulasingham (Hotel Manager, The Star Entertainment Group).

The event was a platform for alumni to reinforce the lifelong connection and passion that many fondly associate with Le Cordon Bleu. Most importantly, they felt their contribution over the years had been acknowledged.

Le Cordon Bleu Sydney Institute is honoured to acknowledge and thank all the alumni, staff and lecturers who have been, and continue to be, a part of this wonderful journey.

Le Cordon Bleu Australia continues to expand, delivering vocational, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across four campuses in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth with over 2500 students enrolling annually.
