Le Cordon Bleu students shine on national stage at Fine Foods Australia

Six Le Cordon Bleu students from Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney turned up the heat at this year's Fine Foods Australia Expo.

Matilda Birkholz (Adelaide) won three silver, as did Enoch Chan (Melbourne), in the Nestle Golden Chef Hat Award Finals.

Adelaide student Wenqi Zhang received a silver medal in the Australian Culinary Federation's National Apprentice Competition under the 'Culinary Student' category.

Meanwhile, in the Fine Foods Culinary Challenge, Avinash Pandey and Yeeun Kim from Sydney each earned two silver medals in the Cuisine and Patisserie categories, respectively.

Arnav Sagar Lagad, a Sydney Bachelor student, also competed at the recent Nestle Golden Hat trials and received a Bronze medal.

Speaking on the Finals, Matilda Birkholz said:

“Since I was young, Le Cordon Bleu Australia has been my one and only dream school, and to participate in the SA Golden Chef's Regional Finals wearing and representing the Le Cordon Bleu logo felt like a dream come true… Something that I was incredibly proud to represent.”

Congratulations to our students who continue to show their passion and dedication by competing in these national competitions! We can’t wait to see where the future takes these award-winning chefs in training.
