Le Cordon Bleu joins Adelaide Central Market to celebrate Bastille Day

Le Cordon Bleu Adelaide is bringing a taste of France to the heart of the city next Friday, 11th July, in celebration of Bastille Day.

Teaming up with the Adelaide Central Market, the prestigious culinary school will host a special cooking demonstration at the Market’s Community Kitchen — and everyone is invited.

From 6pm, guests can enjoy a live croquembouche demonstration led by Chef Bhu, a culinary expert from Le Cordon Bleu’s Adelaide campus. Known for his technical precision and flair for classic French desserts, Chef Bhu will walk the audience through the step-by-step process of assembling the iconic croquembouche — a towering cone of choux pastry bound with caramel and spun sugar.

Guests will not only get the chance to watch the delicate construction of this showstopping dessert, but will also be invited to taste-test Chef Bhu’s creation at the end of the session.

This free event promises to be a delicious and entertaining way to kick off Bastille Day festivities, while highlighting the artistry and tradition at the heart of French patisserie. Come for the croquembouche, stay for the culture — and leave with a sweet memory.
