Each team consisted of two members who were enrolled in a Certificate III & IV in Patisserie or Certificate III & IV in Bakery.
Students Mrudula Vivek Chandorkar and Aditi Navin Javali represented Le Cordon Bleu Melbourne and were awarded gold for their exceptional performance, taking out first place overall.
It was a tightly contested event and judges praised the high calibre of work across the board.
Meanwhile in Adelaide, Le Cordon Bleu Adelaide Certificate III in Cuisine student, Wenqi, proudly represented Le Cordon Bleu in the Australian Culinary Federation’s student division competition.
At a Gala Dinner and awards ceremony held at Adelaide Oval in July, Wenqi was awarded the only gold medal of the evening across all divisions, securing first place in her category.
Wenqi now joins Matilda (SA Golden Chef's Regional Cook-Off gold medallist) as they both prepare to represent Le Cordon Bleu Adelaide at the National Championships, held at the Fine Food Expo in Sydney from 8-11 September.
This marks Le Cordon Bleu Adelaide’s first time entering students into state competitions, and we’re proud to say both of our entrants have risen to the top with gold medals.
Both Wenqi and Matilda will be flown to Sydney and accommodated as part of the national competition.
Congratulations to our Le Cordon Bleu Melbourne and Adelaide students on these amazing competition results.
