Introducing our new Head of School

For the last 7 years Sue Townshend has been a crucial member of Le Cordon Bleu New Zealand’s dedicated staff providing students with the best culinary education. Sue was instrumental in our campus gaining Private Training Establishment (PTE) accreditation and becoming a NZQA approved Category One Education provider. Thanks to Sue and our hard-working staff LCBNZ is nationally recognised as one of the countries top education institutions.

Our Head of School, Sue Townshend.

Sue’s journey at LCBNZ started in 2016 when she joined the team as our career services manager. Her ability to cater to students’ individual needs and constant personal development led to her promotion to Academic Quality and Services Director. On the 15th of September 2023 the Independent Tertiary Education New Zealand (ITENZ), a national organisation representing private tertiary institutions in New Zealand, awarded Sue the Wisenet Outstanding Performance Award and the Ako Aotearoa Supreme Award in recognition of Sue's "exceptional contribution to the outcomes of learners."

Sue has achieved a Master of Education and continues her learning through professional development courses, building on her breadth of knowledge every year. She provides integral support to all students and staff with warmth and kindness. On the 25th of October Sue has officially become LCBNZ’s Head of School. With many exciting new developments around the corner, we are proud to have such a capable leader guide our campus to new heights.

I firmly believe that success is a collective effort, and I have the utmost confidence in our incredible team. Together, we will continue to create a vibrant and successful future for our learners and the school.

Congratulations Sue.
