If you’re passionate about culinary arts and dream of working in a restaurant, café or hotel, there’s a new pathway designed just for you. Diplôme CordonTec® has officially launched in Australia after achieving strong success internationally, offering a fresh and practical approach to culinary and hospitality training.
Designed to give you the skills, knowledge and real-world experience needed to enter the industry, this non-accredited program covers four key areas: cuisine, pâtisserie, boulangerie and service. It’s a comprehensive introduction to both kitchen and front-of-house operations, helping you build confidence across multiple facets of this thriving industry.
Delivered over eight months, Diplôme CordonTec® is a fast-tracked course that combines hands-on learning with demonstrations and online study.
Throughout the course, you’ll develop essential culinary techniques such as knife skills, food preparation, butchery and cooking methods across meat, seafood and plant-based cuisine.
In pâtisserie, you’ll learn everything from chocolate work and pastries to plated desserts and adapting recipes for dietary needs. Boulangerie training introduces you to breadmaking including fermentation, dough development and bakery production. You’ll also gain valuable service skills, from table settings and order taking to delivering a seamless guest experience.
To bring this learning to life, the program includes an industry placement where you’ll spend approximately 200 hours learning in a real hospitality environment. This ensures you graduate with practical experience and the confidence to step straight into the workforce.
Diplôme CordonTec® opens the door to a range of career opportunities, including roles in kitchens, bakeries and front-of-house service. Whether you see yourself as a cook, baker or part of a service team, this program provides a strong foundation to get you started.
