Temple Food Demonstration with Venerable Beop Song
London
Le Cordon Bleu London recently welcomed back Korean Buddhist nun and chef, Venerable Beop Song for a guest chef demonstration.
A renowned chef and cookbook author, Beop Song became a Buddhist nun under the tutelage of Venerable Seongkwan in 1996. She has refined her practice of temple cooking with the guidance of master monks and nuns who have a deep foundational knowledge of the cuisine.
Venerable Beop Song demonstrated plant-based dishes that illustrate the care and thought that goes into and is characteristic of temple food.
The Korean Temple Food demonstrations are organised in collaboration with the Korean Cultural Centre UK. In addition to the public demonstration, students on our Diplomas in Plant-Based Culinary Arts participate in a full day with the visiting Buddhist nuns, spending time in the kitchen with them and enjoying an exclusive demonstration for students.
