BRISBANE – Fresh Insight into Sustainability Foundations

As Queensland’s heatwave is breaking new records, Le Cordon Bleu Brisbane have been keeping things cool by exploring elements of sustainability with a visit to Ecobotanica. Intermediate students were welcomed by Linda, the author of ‘A Delicious Bunch – Growing and Cooking with Edible Flowers’ and introduced to her world of locally grown food. Leading the students through Ecobotanica’s garden and sustainable practices, the visit was a great opportunity to build skills and knowledge on organic farming and inspire our students with local Queensland products.

Students had the opportunity to pick and discover acacia, peanut butter bush and native stingless bee honey and finish with a taste of the garden at brunch. Our Le Cordon Bleu sustainability program stresses the importance to manage resources efficiently, so the tour was a great opportunity to measure the impact of environmental regulation in a different context.

MELBOURNE – New Chapter of Opportunities

Not only has Melbourne been celebrating the exit of their third lockdown this month, but Le Cordon Bleu Melbourne has also celebrated the largest graduation they have had! Joined by an exciting number of guests, staff and industry partners, Melbourne graduates united together at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre for an unforgettable graduation ceremony.

Due to last year’s COVID-19 restrictions, Le Cordon Bleu Melbourne held a virtual graduation in line with Victoria’s guidelines during the pandemic. In order for last year’s graduates to celebrate in the traditional sense, we extended a warm welcome back to our three cohorts from 2020 so they could share the milestone together amongst new graduates; making this graduation a particularly special event. From patisserie to culinary, the graduation ceremony was alive with present and emerging industry leaders to celebrate the next chapter of opportunities.

SYDNEY - First Step into the Future
