Le Cordon Bleu Australia signing MOU with The Star Sydney

Ben Mayne, National Manager Career Services met with Cathy Sinden, Recruitment Manager for The Star Sydney recently to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between Le Cordon Bleu Australia and The Star Sydney. This further solidifies the relationship between the two organisations and will help create a multitude of future career opportunities for Le Cordon Bleu graduates.

Next stop for the Career Services team is a Shared Tables luncheon, hosted by Philippe Mouchel, at his new city based restaurant “Philippe”.  As Le Cordon Bleu are Gold Sponsors of Shared Tables, Derrick Casey, Chief Operations Officer, together with Ben Mayne, enjoyed engaging with chef’s from Melbourne’s vibrant culinary scene.

Founded in Melbourne in 1994, Shared Tables is a forum that allows Victorian hospitality leaders to focus on culinary innovation and trends in the company of fellow industry leaders and peers. As a major sponsor and partner of Shared Tables, Le Cordon Bleu Australia were excited to join a network of over 550 members, who are passionate about the hospitality and culinary arts, to promote work placement and career opportunities for our students. This includes key decision makers from the country’s top hotels, restaurants, events and careering organisations and clubs, and individuals ranging from General Managers and Food and Beverage Directors, to the Executive and/or Chef owners. This partnership offers unique opportunities for our Career Services team to develop and grow key industry relationships within every sector of the wider hospitality industry.

Some notable names in attendance were Crown Melbourne, Crowne Plaza Melbourne, Grand Hyatt Melbourne, MCG, Nobu, Rod Laver Arena, The Age Good Food Guide, to name just a few.
